Can America Afford to add $60,000,000,000 to the Deficit?

Friends, we know that the Republicans have stated they will oppose any tax cut that does not include cuts for everyone, including the super wealthy. An article published in the New York Times explains that allowing these tax breaks for the rich to expire will save our country $60,000,000,000. How can the Republicans claim that they're going to reduce the deficit when they plan to add this much to it? Of course, it's apparent that they just want to keep their rich constituents happy, because if they're happy (due to receiving more money, and becoming richer) then they will keep donating to and voting for the party that made the richer.
